 Ioannis Bekiaris is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Macedonia, Greece. His research focuses on physical and man-made disasters and consequences in business excellent units. He holds an M.Sc. in Environmental Protection & Sustainable Development, an M.Sc. in Administration and Management of Technical Projects and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He currently works as a civil engineer project manager at the municipality of N. Propontida, Central Macedonia, Greece.


 

 

Gianni Maria

Maria Gianni is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Macedonia, Greece. She holds an M.Sc. in Production Systems and Operations Management from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Her first degree is Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Her research interests include integrated management systems, corporate sustainability, management standards. She has participated in a number of conferences. She has taught courses in quality management at the Technological Educational Institute of Western Macedonia. She currently works as a management consultant.

  Vasiliki Gkana is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Business Administration at that University of Macedonia, Greece. She has earned a scholarship from the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) and the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI) for her research. She holds a MBA degree from the University of Macedonia, Greece, while her first degree is a B.Sc. in Applied Informatics from the University of Macedonia. Her research interests focus on quality management, innovation, business excellence and tourism. Her work experience includes Business Consulting and Event Organization.

Eftychia Kessopoulou is a Ph.D. student of the Business Administration Department at the University of Macedonia. Her research focuses on the application of benchmarking during New Public Management Reforms implementation. She holds an M.Sc. degree in Economic and Political Governance from the University of West Macedonia, Greece, an M.Sc. degree in Information Management from the University of Sheffield, UK and a B.Sc. degree in Business Economics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Her research interests focus on performance management in public sector, organizational development of public institutions and public management reforms.

Theofilos Mastos is a PhD candidate in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Macedonia (Greece). His research focuses on the investigation of Sustainability in Supply Chain Management. He holds an MSc in Environmental Management and Policy from the University of the Aegean (Greece) and a BA in Economics and International Business from the University of Macedonia (Greece). During 2007, Theofilos spent 6 months at the University of Bristol (UK) as an Erasmus exchange student. His research interests include Sustainable Supply Chain Management (SSCM), Sustainability Performance, Performance Measurement, Business and the Environment, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Quantitative and Qualitative research methods. Theofilos is a member of the Economic Chamber of Greece. He currently works as a program development consultant.

Xanthopoulou Stella is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Macedonia, Greece. Her research focuses on the development of Knowledge Management Toolkits in the public sector. She holds an M.B.A. from the Department of Business Administration at the University of Macedonia, Greece. Her first degree is in Business Administration, from the University of Macedonia, Greece. Her research interests include Knowledge Management in public sector, Quality Management in public sector, Public Management, Performance Management in public sector, and Change Management. She holds scholarship from IKY.  Stella is a member of the Economic Chamber of Greece.

 

 Tzavlopoulos Yannis

Yannis E. Tzavlopoulos is a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Macedonia, in the field of quality and e-commerce. He started his career in the field of consulting in Alpha Mentor and after he worked as a Group Product Manager in Alumil. He became Marketing Executive in Metron of Alumil Group. He founded his own consulting company, “Upgrade Consulting and training”, in 2006. He is a certified instructor from EKEPIS. He is teaching courses in Bachelors’ and Masters’ at New York College since 2004. He has worked as an instructor to Universities, Colleges and Institutes, in subjects such as Marketing, Management, Innovation, Management of Change and Human Resources Management. He was a Valedictorian at the MBA degree. He has earned a Scholarship from the State Scholarship Foundation on academic criteria and a Scholarship from the University of Macedonia. He was awarded from the Greek Academy of Marketing, on academic criteria and also from the Hellenic Management Association for his work in the European Project called “NEXUS”. He also conducts in-house business seminars.Furthermore, he is the writer of the book “Do not sell! Make others buy!” and he has published many scientific articles and papers in international conferences and scientific magazines.

Georgios Tsaples received his diploma as an Electrical and Computer Engineer, from the Engineering Faculty of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He holds an MSc in Engineering in Policy Analysis from the Technical University of Delft. His research interests include operational research, simulation and optimization methods and their applications in a wide range of topics from racism to sustainability.

Dr. Theodore Tarnanidis obtained a Ph.D. from the University of London Met. UK, in 2011, with a thesis on multi-attribute decision-analysis in consumer goods markets: analyzing the effects of reference points. He was awarded postgraduate fellowship from the National State Scholarship Foundation (IKY). He received his M.B.A in Marketing from Liverpool University and is a graduate from the University of Macedonia (Business Administration) and Alexander Technological Educational Institute (Marketing).  For several years he worked in the public sector where he specialized in financial economics. Formerly a visiting researcher at London Met. University, and since, December 2013, is currently a postdoctoral research fellow in the department of Business Administration at the University of Macedonia. His research focuses on modeling sustainable entrepreneurship by means of Rank-Coded Data. His work has been published in various internationally renowned scientific conferences and journals mostly from the fields of Business Administration. He is actively involved in several teaching and research activities. Research Interests:  Computer-Based Support of Decision-Making in Management. Decision-Making Processes in Sustainable Innovations and Entrepreneurship. Conjoint Models. Competition Analysis by Means of Rank-Coded Data. Preference Measurement Techniques.
